Here's a 1974 S mint mark, but it looks like it struck over a 8. Also there's doubling on In God We Trust. On the reverse side Doubling on the monument pillars and States. Thank you for your comments.

Looks normal. that you are seeing is part of the design - the Columns that are behind the main ones in front.

The mint mark issues are due to the reuse of an old mint mark punch from that had been used back in the 1940's and 50's and was brought back for some reason for use again from 1974 to 1979.
