Most of the NIFC coins I have were found coinroll hunting, so I would put them in a flip and in a binder. I've started buying the uncirculated sets of NIFC coins, such as the new 2026W 'Winnipeg Mint 50th' set, and now I have to decide whether to keep them in the pliofilm packaging or break them out and put in flips and in the binder. It's kind of nice to have them all in once place, but removing from the packaging may decrease their value. I'm curious what other collectors do. Do you cut them out of sets and put in flips, or keep them in the packaging, or maybe buy two sets so that you can do both?

My practice was to buy two sets, keep one intact and cut the second set out and put it into flips so I can enjoy them in the binder. I've built a continuous run from 1954 to 2020 when I stopped buying UNC sets.

I would think there is more "resell" value if in the set.
Depends on what you want.

@Rustoleum: with the Classic Uncirculated Coin Sets I usually purchase three. Two I keep in the original packaging, the third I break up, put in flips to be distributed into various coin binders.
With the Commemorative Uncirculated Coin sets, such as the Winnipeg Mint 50th', I purchase two and keep them in the the original packaging.
I have three. 4", heavy duty 3 ring binders with special insert pages to hold these sets.,...
ps; I am missing a number from the 1950's.....

I have got 2 and cut one open but cut it so the coin stays in the original cellophane and the into a 2x2. Haven't got 2 the last couple of years getting too expensive, used to get them for $19 now up to $30.

Buy two, split one.
