Good morning. This coin is under the lo end for tolerance weighing 2.78 grams. The thickness appears to be normal. Were there more at the Denver mint in 1968 that are noted as being underweight? Thanks everyone for some input...

May have been struck on a rolled thin planchet. Not aware of 'large numbers' of other '68 D cents having a similar issue. Might be fun to sandwich this cent with several others and take a few photos end-on to compare.

Could have been struck on a Rolled Thin Planchet, as stated above. https://www.error-ref.com/rolled-thin-planchets/
