Hello, I came across this 1925 D Wheat cent that the die was misaligned. I tried to show the amount of the misalignment in the pictures. But the main reason I'm posting is to get opinions on the obverse doubling especially on the date and mintmark but it also seems to be on the In God We Trust as well. Probably machine dubbing but I figured it wouldn't hurt to post it anyway. Thanks.
That is Machine Doubling on the date and mm. You cant have a Doubled Die on the mm as it was hand punched. The IGWT looks like Die Deterioration Doubling. Also the slight misalignment is within spec. It needs to have the lettering run of the edge to have any extra value.
Also not really seeing a Mis-Aligned Die either. Now if you are trying to convey a rotational error - can you post up an image in front of a mirror showing both sides in the same image?
