Dear all,

I'm just a new guy that is begining to gain interest in Ancient coins.

I have bought some coins, and I would appreciate your help in identifying it and help me know the numismatic value of it.

First of all I'm posting a picture of what I think is a Greek coin, but I cannot identify it.

Can someone help me?

Many thanks

Greek it is indeed, from the Macedonian city of Pella. The Greek text on the coin says "PEL" above the bull, and "LEeS". Go to the Wildwinds page for this city and you'll see several with similar reverse design.

, to the community. Very nice little Greek coin. Lots of different ancient types to collect. I concentrate on Roman and Byzantine coins, not so much on ancient Greek, though their coins I think are the most beautiful especially the silver tetradrachma
