Is-This-Blob-On-This-Bicentennial-Half-Dollar-Post-Mint-Damage?

Hello! I'm new here and my name is Christina. Is this blob of metal on this Kennedy Bicentennial post-mint damage. I suspect it is, but how did something like that happen? There also seems to be a little blob on Kennedy's ear on the other side. Thanks!

Yes it is PMD, There is no way for that to happen when
the coin was struck. How it happened does not really
matter, damage is damage.

It's brighter in silver color than the copper/nickel alloy clad layer so it's probably solder.
