I recv'd this 1965 -P quarter in my change and its in such great condition I'm tempted to say this is a REAL MINT ERROR--Please advise if I'm totally wrong or I have a GREAT MINT ONE OFF ERROR? --Thanks in ADVANCE AS USUAL for the fantastic advise you always give

I will send more pictures if you think its a REAL MINT ERROR

It's been damaged. Severe PMD. It's not an error coin. Worth only face value with all of that damage.

There's just no way anything even remotely like that could happen during the minting process.

Just ask yourself, how could this possibly happen when the coin was struck.
There is no possible way so by default it is damage.
