I'm just looking at them now, and I guess I was really lucky I was buying some of this stuff when I was. I'm just like "well, take off that first digit, and that's about where I was". I paid about what I did for the 10th Anniversary set.

One thing I have noticed is that Gold Eagle and Gold Coin pricing is generally spot plus a small premium
Unlike Silver Eagles where you can pay exorbitant premiums over spot based on their numismatic value
You will never find a 1995 W for 10% over spot or for even 100% over spot
But it seems I can always find the Gold Coins and AGEs I want for 5-10% more than spot
I attribute this to a far smaller collector base,
I'm not sure if I'm right but it seems there are more people willing to pay $3000 for 1995 W Silver Eagle then those able to pay $25k for the 2020 v75 Gold Eagle

I received my 2006 set that I bought from APMEX this morning With the discounts and $613 cash back I ended up paying a little over $14700 I was on a notification list for the set and I bought it within 5 minutes of receiving the notice Apparently it was the only set they had at the time I was kind of worried because it shipped from "The Return Center" but once I saw that the OGP hadn't even been opened I felt better I still took them to the local shop to confirm that they're authentic, Here's some pics of the set transferred to the 20th Anniversary Silver Set OGP which is what I intend to use for my Gold Coins and Eagle Type Set I'll post some better pics of the coins later

Looking good! If I'm being honest I think the Silver Eagles look way better than the Gold Eagles The proof is similar but the reverse proof does not pop as much as it's Silver Eagle counterpart

Quote: Are you uploading from a phone or your computer? My phone. I just take pictures with my phone, so easier to transfer to the site that way. When I had to reduce the image size, it was also easier to access the app I used with the phone.

I suspected. Phones are tricky. The like to save the files as Landscape, but store the orientation in their local database. I would have thought your edits would have fixed it, but I guess phones are just going to be a pain. If the orientation data is not saved in the image, the forum is not going to be able to guess. Best way to avoid is always take landscape photos.

You know better than me that something changed and we can now upload larger images, so I just tried uploading without decreasing the file size to under 300kb. So just now I downsized the image to under 300kb. Let's try it: NOTE TO MODERATOR I did nothing to the post where I first showed that picture, yet it's orientation is now correct

Ah! Looks like the edit worked! Editing usually updates/saves the meta data so the forum optimizer knows how to orient the photo.

That is why we strongly suggest using unique and informative names. It helps you to search so your uploads can use it again. You can rename them in the fly...
