I found this in the same tube of coins as the 1954-D RPM! I might have overlooked the actual doubling since the die scratches are what really caught my attention. The 9 looks doubled to me but it isn't noted in the descriptions so maybe its just me.

Great find yes - but if you have to look that hard to see it - well, is it even worth anything other than the satisfaction of finding it?

I would agree that the 9 does look pretty fat with no signs of a circulation hit .

This is a fairly common die, and yes, much easier to spot by looking for the lathe lines than the actual doubling. The lines are deep enough to still be visible well into the later die stages although obviously not nearly as robust as on the early stages.
