1878 S Trade Dollar. Found Doubling On Reverse

Benny w Valued Member United States 104 Posts	Posted 04/09/2026 10:14 pm The question I'm asking myself is if I should get this 1878 s Trade dollar thats in a pcgs au58 holder resubmitted for variety attribution. How many know about this variety and is there a demand for it? If it were uncirculated it would be obvious but at au58 this is a situation I feel that I need the community's help once again to get a feel so to speak so if I ever decide to sell it...does this make sense. Trying to guage if this is a case if variety attribution will add liquidity in the future. Sometimes it limits how many buyers there are but doesn't seem like thats the case here especially because there aren't many vareities in the Trade dollar series. (hate to sound like an investor but I will sell my collection in the next 2 years to buy a home for my fiance' and I.) Report this Post to the Staff

The other one on there, the seller is asking for over a grand for it. I checked sold listings, and there's no results. Here's the other one. There are quite a few certified examples that have sold on Heritage and they don't seem to fetch large premiums compared with normal coins.
