1988-P Nickel, Ffd Or Parallel Scratches On Reverse.

Brandmeister Pillar of the Community United States 6454 Posts	Posted 05/01/2026 11:40 am Ran across this nickel while CRH. The entire reverse is full of parallel west-east die scratches. Maybe that's due to warping from a late die state or from a clash removal. It reminded me of FFD, and I know we are looking for 1960-1990 nickels with feeder finger scrapes. The Mint can match up different dies, of course. I also found the deep scratches among the letters to be unusual. I don't think those correspond to typical clash features on a nickel.
