I normally buy slabbed but these WLs looked original so I bought them. Anyone seen these coin holders before? They just say "Eagle" on them. How can I tell if they are PVC free and safe to keep the coins in? The cases look older and the coins are fine now but I want to be sure ... Thank you.

I do not believe these are PVC, but even if they were, only soft PVC is bad. Rigid PVC, like plumbing pipe, is just fine. The plasticizers—added to PVC to make it soft and pliable—are the real problem. Depending on the environment, they can allow the PVC to break down and do all sorts of nasty things to coins.

The easiest tell: If it smells like an inflatable pool toy (unmistakable!), throw it out.
