Eliyahu New Member Israel 25 Posts	Posted 06/23/2009 12:21 pm This silver coin is in fact a bit rare. It's a pity that it is in bad condition. The mark on the coin is not hallmark but a countermark. This countermarks struck also on ancient coins in ancient times mostly to announce that the coin was went out of use and the ruler was'nt ruling anymore. The countermark was applied officially by the Cuban colonial authorities in 1841.
