Greetings:

I need your opinions and wise guidance for my Lincoln collection. I currently have a Whitman Classic Album for my Lincoln cents. The album is from 1909 to Date (with the last date being 1989). I now have ten pages in the album (ie no more pages can be added) and with this year all those pages will be filled.

My current thought is to start an new album (1959-2009)and make it a BU collection with proofs. I'd leave the Whitman alone as is now. Then for 2010 start a third album for the next 50 years.

Thanks for your replies.

Terrell

Terrell - That's not a bad idea - But if you wanted to keep them in one album you can get a "Lincoln Cents 7100" Dansco album. This is where I keep my Lincoln collection and its pretty cool because they have the new 2009 page with spots for the 4 different varieties of the new penny (P&D). Its also cool to see the transition from Wheaties to the BU memorial.

Regards,
WBB

WBB - I like your idea, but have a few questions about the 7100. Does it include the wheat proofs & memorial proofs? Are there spaces for errors like the 1921 no D, 1955dd, or others? Are there slots for varieties like the 1982 series, lg & sm dates, different types of mintmarks (1928S lg & sm; 1974 type1 & type2) or others? And lastly how many pages can be added or what is the potential for the future (if the mint produces only 3 coins per year)?

My coin shop can order the album, but he's not sure what's in the pages. Jbuck, appreciate the support.

Thanks -- Terrell

Hey Terrell - The 7100 does not include proofs - However the 8100 does.
In the 7100 there are spots for 22 Plain (NO D), 60 and 60D small and large, 70S small and large, and 1982 (all 7 variates). The new last page with the 2009 (4 variety spots) goes to 2021.

I can not speak towards what the 8100 has.

The same thing, plus places for the proofs from 1968 to date.
