Hey guys, I'm still kinda new to this :) . On my mint set paperwork it says that the quarters are Cupro-Nickel clad. 8.33% Ni Balance Cu.

Does that mean that they are 8.33 percent Nickel and 91.67 % Copper?

Thanks,
Aaron

Thank you! Any idea why they put balance rather than the percent?

Maybe they figured that we can do the math better than they could!

Heres a novice question I have and I've been a member and collector here for over a year.

Are modern silver proofs 90% silver composistion or 40% silver composistion. Whats setting me off is knowing that the 1976 silver bicentennial set was all %40 silver and I thought that may have set a composistion trend for silver sets.

From what I've read, they are 90%.
