Here we've got a wonderful case of blatant fakes, and ebay's totally worthless AI and agents who refuse to take these down. Take a look at the following listing and second userid of the same seller's listings, below. Multiple reports from different users tend to be effective, so anyone willing to assist would be great. If you can't tell the markers, study well. I can identify after a while if assistance is needed, but surely others will chime in. Great way to learn and protect yourself. One bulk listing: https://www.ebay.com/itm/366454295901Second account, all current and sold (coin) listings are fakes: https://www.ebay.com/usr/jsad92Thank you!

There's really no way to report them anymore. They had a job listing for a coin expert, but it was taken down. There's no sign that they filled the position, though.

I mean the old-school way on ebay itself. They still do respond to reports when made by multiple users...

Quote: There's really no way to report them anymore. Actually, there is a way to report counterfeit items. At the bottom right of a listing page is a question mark in a circle. Clicking on it opens a pop-up with the report submission form. For counterfeits, choose "Intellectual Property Infringement" as the Reason for Report. This allow you to select "Counterfeit Item". It won't do any good to report anything as counterfeit, but at least you can say that you tried.

95% of the time ir doesn't work. Even on obvious ones.

Yes, you're right. I've reported this item several times for different reasons, but their AI doesn't see any problems with it. 226825931251 United Kingdom 5 Pound 1839 Proof - US$16,000

It took all of 10 minutes for ebay to let me know that I must be delusional as there is absolutely nothing wrong with that listing.

I get them that say the determination that the listing was fine was made by a customer service agent too.

Unfortunately, Ebay doesn't care. They exist to generate revenues, and they do that by allowing sellers to list items and buyers to purchase those items. They view their job as providing the marketplace, not policing it. Unless it is a financial threat to their company's marketplace (e.g., selling heroin, which carries legal consequences), they allow it.
