Wow, incredible luck I am having with these nickels.

"P" is the mark for composition (Multi-Ply Plated Steel). only .025% nickel. 2000P are much easy to fine compare to other denominations
the total mintage 4,899.000. However, that is a good fine keep going and good luck.

Canadian 2009 nickels and dimes are scarce as well as the US ones ? Looks like a whole lot rarer by those mintage figures.

Alos can I ask , is it normal for a 2004 dime to look like a proof ? Mirror surfaces with the sailboat? Thanks

I go through between 10 - 20 dollars worth of change a night, pennies to quarters, and I get lots of 2009 coins. I would not consider them scarce, but I do not know the mintage.
As for the dime, they all start that way. Current condition would depend on how it has been treated. I received several proof like coins in the last few month, and I believe it is mostly due to people breaking up mint sets. Could be recession causing them to need the cash, or could be disappointed in their growth potential. Either way, just consider yourself lucky, and add it to your collection.
