I had a look through a varities page (http://varietyvista.com/12%20Kenned...%201965.htm) and found there are a LOT of options for this DDR. I find the doubling most prominent in HALF DOLLAR, but also noticeable in the N in UNITED.

Which variety do you think it is?

It's Machine Doubling unfortunately. Size of letters are reduced. Shelf like appearance is also a sign of Machine Doubling.
