panzaldi Bedrock of the Community United States 18756 Posts	Posted Today 1H 36M ago I'm at XF40 for a grade. typical weakness in areas. here is a NGC slabbed coin that graded straight with these rim marks. now there are questions as to what caused these marks. if they were mint related or post mint. the marks on your coin are in non-key areas of the coin and are small. she probably had an old cleaning and retoned. lighting is weak on these photos so it leaves open the possibility that we are not seeing the coin as it would be in hand. there is also another mark at K8 reverse. with all of that, I think there are too many chances that it would not grade straight. I'm not into varieties but based on an O-114 I found and PCGS pricing for the grade, I would want to be pretty certain it would grade straight. the other aspect to this is if you are accumulating a set of overton's, are you willing to take that chance or is it better to try and locate a slabbed coin or one that its fairly certain it would grade straight Report this Post to the Staff
