I might have to vote for manilagalleontrade's Teodosio I Roman coin! Quote: "...this is not numismatic anymore, this is genealogy." If your direct ancestor is on a government-issued coin, I'd say any discussion about that is still very much in the numismatic realm!

Quote: I might have to vote for manilagalleontrade's Teodosio I Roman coin! I can't vote, but you might DNA, no wonder he treats me like royalty! I wish there were more entries. Certainly the prizes should be worth a stab at this, I would hope anyway? Don't forget, everyone is allowed to edit and even change the coin up until the deadline to make it the best entry and image they are capable of.

This is my favorite coin. I think it is one of the most gorgeous coins ever minted. (I can't help it if it's my Avatar...) And my first gold coin... I give you the 1915 Indian Head Quarter Eagle:

Let me re-phrase...
"I present to you..." (no that won't work either...)
"Here's the ..." (Oh no... not good still.)
Ok, here I go re-phrasing:
"Here is some pictures of MY 1915 Quarter Eagle!
"Taaaaadaaaaaa!"

How bout Presenting .... the 1915 Indian Head Quarter Eagle Nice coin! I remember seeing one of the 1909 proofs in a family collection of odds and ends many years ago of this type coin in a small green box. It had a matte finish. It was awesome. I always liked this design!

The Quarter Eagle appears to me just a touch larger than a dime, if my eyes eyeball it correctly!
There's just something about gold! The color of real gold is (I think anyway) really mesmerizing!
And so, my coin presentation. (Thank you Wheezy for making me realize my words can hurt people's feelings.... Particularly when they think they're getting a cool coin!)
So, Taaaaaadaaaa, again!!
