5 cents victory ( 3 years production ) the first one made of tombac 1943 ( .88 copper , . 12 zinc ) mintage 24,760.256 .
the second and the last 1944-45 made of steel plating of Nickel and chromium ,mintage 1944 =11,532,784 , 1945 = 18,893,213

2004 -2005 , 60th Anniversary of the victory in europe . a new 5 cents for commemorates the victory over germany is made for circulation( nickel ) and two for the collection , 2004 and 2005 made of sterling silver . the 2004 revers showing the Elizabeth II and the 2005 revers showing Georges VI..

hi there, just to clarify, the 2005s were issued for circulation that year. There were tonnes of them. :)

YES the nickel for circulation , but the sterling silver only for collection

right. the silver one is lovely. I hadn't seen that one before. I did hoard every one fo the 2005 I ever saw in my change though. I really like the design

I have a 1944 5 cent piece graded MS65 by ICCS and it is one of the most beautiful coins in my collection. It has this wonderful bluish colouring. And the best part about this coin is that you can find one in that grade for well under $100.

So the 2005 one with "We will win if we work willingly" is silver?

Also, I can't really see, but is the morse code also on the 43, 44 and 45 years?
