Last night, I took an Oreo out of the package, and wondered if it was MS or just AU...

Maybe it was the beer...

If it was in my house, it would have been AG. It would have been All Gone.

I think that is funny, I have never had any luck identifying the dates on them unless I have the original packaging. I have had some errors, most common are lamination's, misaligned dies, and especially intentional clips.
I have absolutely no problem with "dipped" Oreo cookies, and "polishing" off half a roll, especially in milk, but beer?

Ha ha!

It reminds me of a night when me and my friends where drinking together and how I entertained them with the story of the JFK 50cent piece. About how if JFK never died we would still have Ben Franklin on our half-dollars, and how some of them contain silver and how they haven't been made for circulation since 2001.

Its one of those "You had to be there things". I'm the only guy that talks about coins whenever he gets drunk.

No, not the only one. I had a "debate" with my wife (does it count as a debate if one person doesn't give a flying leap about the subject?), while drinking, about why I'm insisting on completing my Jefferson collection from circulation, but buying certain dates for my Lincoln collection.

Lol, I was eating some oreos a couple weeks ago and got one where the cookie part had been put on the creme part backwards so there was no design on front and I was thinking, Alright, a capped die.

i am an architect: I produce my constuction documents on a computer program. one of the commands, reproduces an image in another spot. I apparently reproduced it twice, only just barely off. one image just next to the same image. while I was checking the sheet - I thought I found a RPM. I think I've become - obsesive.

Funny thanks for that post.

ALso funny how fast friends get turned off when you start talking about coins.

My twin brother was visiting me yesterday from Texas I am in PA. I brought downstairs to see some of my coin collection he said WOW you have a bank here and I could tell he thought I have lost my mind.

Oh well just can't help myself sure feels like you have something when you hold a coin verses a paper note.

I don't know where all you guys are shopping for your cookies !
You MUST NOT BE GETTING YOUR OREO'S AT A REPUTABLE DEALER !! SHAME ON YOU !
I have NEVER had.....or even HEARD of someone finding THAT many "varieties" on Oreo's before ! ....

There was only ONE TIME where I found an Oreo that DID have cud on the obverse field. I believe it had an, ever so slight, but discernable DD as well on the reverse. And no....I didn't slap it into a 2x2........I ATE it ! Yes, I was too young to realize the importance of the "variety".....but you know....who among us hasn't looked back to when we were kids and been remiss on something we WISH we'd have done !

What a bunch of coin collecting freaks. LOL
But I say that with love.

When people ask me if I collect coins I normally just tell them that I'm addicted to them. I seem to be past the point where I just collect. I am in the stage that I need to get my coin fix or I will just not feel right.

It is funny how people just dont care about coins. When I buy a really cool new coin I like to carry it in my pocket and show it to people but they just never appreciate it.
At least I have all of you to talk to.
