This one has only 21,451 pieces minted. I have 5 of them :)
Whenever I see one, I try and get it.

Won this on ebay last night:

Zohar444 - Years ago I worked for a coin dealer who bought foreign material in 5 gallon buckets. One of my jobs was to sort the coins by value and country for resale. At the time there was ZERO interest in the coinage of Israel.

Since you collect the series - is there much interest in any of the earlier dated coins of this type - for example 1960 and the 1961 with serifs? Having literally thousands of 5 Argorot to examine side by side, I was able to identify most of the varieties and I was able to buy them for 5 cents each. I did have a few 1965's which I resold.

I agree with you on the level of interest. Neverthless, if you see the ebay bidding patterns as an indicator, high end pieces and varieties as these generate a premium. Definitely the 1948-1957 series are still of interest to many, as well as the Palestine series pre-statehood.

My belief is that interest will shift back to the middle east collectible market which will include Israel.
