Hey all,
Just found this... 1837 Bust Half that appears to have the small 5C,

The picture is pretty bad.
I cannot get a decent pic through my scope because it is pretty weak down in the area, and when I put it under any power, the detail goes away.

So here is what we have to work with:

1837-Bust-Half-Dime,-Breen-3006?

Thanks in advance!

Well shoot, just went to check the Greysheet to see what a normal price was, and it is on the sheet with barely any premium.
So no need to post, unless you really have something you want to say.

Sorry you didn't find a rarity, but sometimes the search is enjoyable too. I enjoy the learning that goes with the research.

For me, the best part of collecting is the time interval between "Wow, look at this feature!" and "Aw, shucks, it ain't worth anything more." That can be a week or more of joyful anticipation, thanks to the wonders of ebay.

More than anything else, that's what I like about error coins and die varieties.

I love going through finding stuff. That is why I forked over around $300 on a microscope.
CONECA is a great resource. I am going to be buying a lot of wheat pennies from a friend who has barrels (55 ga.) full to look for RPM's. It's something that I enjoy, especially when finding a good one. So although it was not worth much more, still another variety I did not know I had.
