The new jewel of my collection! I think I really like the number 2, coupled with the word "francs"

I have many, many notes. However I truly enjoy the 1924 Choice and crisp uncirculated $20.00 gold certificate I own. The reason is that
it goes back to the history of U.S. coming off the gold standard, the depression that followed and the key is the History of the Charles Lindberg's child being kidnaped. History shows that they were certain
of the guilty, due to the ransom was paid in these Gold Certificates, which were no-longer authorized to have by the general public.

Well Sean here are the scans. I have another 10 dollar bill thats not a star note and I got the two a little mixed up in my head. This one is the rougher of the two and is a 1934 not 1934 A. Enjoy.

Just a note about Biokemist's note, his is the real deal. If you see one on ebay, you'll have to watch if its serial begins with the number 99. That means it was a part of an uncut sheet, and it was simply altered that way.

Hey Richard, would that gold $20 be the Washington with technicolor? May we see it?

So I just found this five and I think that it is one of the coolest bills that I have found to date. It is mint uncirculated. My work got a couple of straps of fives and this was in one of them. So I was the first one to see it and promptly grabbed it. Serial number is IA01982507*. There is a birth date in the serial as well as it being a star. Thats not all front plate is fwD3 back plate is 3 and the bill position is you guessed it D3. Here are some scans.

Also recently I picked up 9 mostly sequential uncirculated star notes with serial numbers C 00494288 * 90,91,92,93,94,95,96,99. Needless to say I was pumped when I saw them.

Hope everyone enjoys

This is my favorite, bad pic taken through plastic holder. Bill is absolutely perfect, no flaws.

Any premium for the serial # (haha)

Both of those bills are sweet!

@ luckyrollers That is a pretty sweet third print shift error. Also is your picture not centered or is it miscut as well. If so even better for you. Here is one I found a few days ago. Its not as shifted as yours but still cool.

@ adco1149 I have never seen a serial number that low! It has to be worth a few extra bucks. How did you come by it?

Perhaps a thread should be started like in the coin forums for a circulation find / latest acquisitions page? I know I like looking at cool things people find.

Siuol,
Purchased that note @ a show about 30 years ago. It's just been chillin in the safe.
Not sure what I paid, I know it wasn't cheap. Need to have it slabbed.
Thanks for looking

Actually is that bill a second print shift error? I think you can see a portion of the bill above it in the top left hand corner. If you take a normal bill and center it over this one and the and the serial numbers and the seals are in the same place on both bills it is a second print error rather than a third print with a miscut. At least I think that is how you could find out. Either way it is an awesome find.
