Hi Amac44
Nickels do not have a copper core but are a mixed metal coin , of copper and nickel.
I was going to ask if the areas were raised or incused on the coin , if I'm reading your post right they are incused ?
Did the nickel come out of circulation or from a mint, bank roll ?

I am thinking it is just circulation damage, especially looking at the rim damage also, but the pictures you are posting are no where near large enough to make a good judgement. The second ones you posted are the same size as the first. MM

Amac I thinkt he reason the Nickel pix won't show up is because you are using the # sign. I tried this once and Bobby (forum dad) told me that was a no no. He fixed mine for me but I'm not sure how (magic maybe ) Try renaming the photo's without the # sign and see if that helps. Can't help you on the morgan, I know nothing about them. Margaret
