Does anyone know how many of these were minted without any edge lettering compared to the Washington dollar?
Thanks,
Pete

I think a lot less, since their values are higher than the Godless Washingtons.

Of course with any error, there is no mintage number.

The Adams dollar has been steady in price and even going up, The Washington has dropped in price. This tells me that the Adams dollar is a lot less common than the Washington. The double edged 2007 D Washington dollar I found came back from ANACS a MS 64 with the double edge lettering inverted authenticated! Not bad for a find. I have not seen any others anywhere.

Yes, obviously there are a lot less no-edge Adams than no-edge Washington dollars--but as always with errors there is no exact mintage number but instead an estimate. And there could always be undiscovered no-edge adams in unopened bank rolls and bags from the direct ship, and rolls in collectors hands.

Alan: Thats one of the best error finds I've ever heard of being found. There are even other combination errors out there like: Sacagawea with edge lettering, sms presidential no edge lettering, jefferson no edge lettering, and I think madison no edge lettering. I hope people on the forum will find some of these!Nobody knows the exact mintage number of these either but these comand a high premium and are highly desirable.

I dont know if this is a good comparison but the wisconsin high leaf error on average costs around $150-$250 with an estimated mintage of 10,00-25,00(not for sure), and the Adams no-edge is going for around $200(not for sure on this either) as well so you could probably guess that the no-edge Adams has around the same mintage as the wisconsin high leaf(if demand is the same). But since the Wisconsin error quarter got more media spotlight, which probably drove the demand, you could probably guess the mintage to be a bit lower than 10,000-25,000.

Hope I didnt confuse you to much!

Errorcoins 222. I watch bidding on coins I have at the major auctions and ebay. I also get every catalog under the son for some reason. The Wisconsin leaf is usually going for more as does the Adams error coins. I think that is going to reverse for awhile as people in these hard times sell off what they don't need in order to pay bills. I pay attention for no other reason other than I like to know how well I am doing. When I was a kid a 3-legged Buffalo was $20. I never could do that. I have two now and paid more than $20.....times do change!
