Are the mintage numbers for circulating coins and mint set coins different? I know that the 2009 nickels and dimes have low mitages so does this mean the nickels and dimes in mint sets will have low mintages? Are they different?

Mint Set and business strike mintages are independent of each other, with the Mint Set coins having the special satin finish. It is quite possible that this year's sets may have an above-average mintage due to the general demand for 2009 coins and the bronze cents.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. I have been collecting for a couple of years but am just now getting in to new mint issues. Thanks again
