I have had a subscription for 3 1/2 years now, quite enjoyable. The monthly price guide and annual dealer directory are nice bonuses too.

I like it less. Very little content, mostly ads.

Too many ads, but I do find some of the articles informative.

I prefer Coin World. That seems to be the most popular among most coin dealers in northern Ohio (where I am from). Lots of ads but also great information in some articles.

I would also agree, this is an excellent source for up to date numismatic information, Great articles, sweet price guide.
Like most other papers too much devoted to paying bills, advertisements!Highly recommended!!!

I subscribe to it for now but it is not worth the money. It could be so much better than it is with just a little effort. I don't care about how many ads they have, I've even purchased coins from their ads. I don't care if they do articles on coins I don't care about, problem is they will write amost a complete article telling about a rainy day in the park, to finally say they found a bufflo nickel. If you'll pardon the pun, it's a coin toss, I just don't think I can recommend it.

Not sure about Numismatic News, but I will send the vote for Coin World. Great articles and it's only $1.95 at my local coin supply store (cover price $2.50). They had some great articles about Chinese counterfeiting a few months ago.

I prefer Coin World over Numismatic News easily. NN had generic articles every month by a Paul Green.
On issue they announced he had died, but they continued to republish his generic articles for several years. I finally dropped the subscription.
You are right with a little effort they could make it a lot better.

I recently subscribed to Coin World for their online only edition. Much cheaper than the print version.
