I can't read whatever this language is, I think it may be Egyptian or Tunisian. Any ideas?

It is good chance for me to ask some experienced members of Coin Community for more info and to learn something new.
Year 1870 is stated by "chequer" and year 1869 by "echizento". Counting 1277x0.97+622 is giving 1860.7 and
using 584 as difference between islamic and gregorian calender since 1261 is giving 1861. It is still much less than "chequer" and "echizeto" opinion. Could somebody tell me how to make this reading? And second question please - what year 10 means? Thank you.

Josef: working out the date of an Ottoman coin requires a bit of maths.

"1277" is the accession year - the year the Sultan came to power; "Year 10" is the regnal year - this coin was struck in the 10th year of this particular Sultan's reign. So to work out the actual AH year the coin was struck in, you have to add the regnal year to the accession year, then subtract 1 (because 1277 was Year 1, not Year Zero). In this case, the actual year = 1277 + 10 - 1 = 1286. AH 1286 began on 13th April 1869 AD, and ended on the 2nd of April 1870; this coin could have been struck anywhere in this time period.
