Im probably way behind on noticing this , maybe not , dunno. But looking at the 2009 Sac dollar there appears to be a mistake in the design so obvious a child could spot it.
Just out of interest , has anyone else wondered about the design , have you noticed what seems totally incorrect ?

Sure Bill , I was hoping somebody else had wondered and seen the same thing.
Now..i could be wrong , I'm a bit of a farmer but that doesn't make me right.
The lady is in a field of mature corn or maize ..yet she is putting down new seed.
In my own experience , this would never happen.

wetglaswegian, it is supposed to be depicting the "Three Sister Planting" method. According to my good friend google, the beans would be planted when the corn is anywhere from 4-10 inches tall, depending on which website I read.

So the coin design just might be inaccurate.

( boy, I can't type )

Sounds reasonable guys , I like Yoties collards idea , the 3 sisters planting method is probably it although as you say Steve its a little inaccurate as those plants are near 48" by guesswork.

The other thing is she appears to be wearing Nike airs...(just kiddin about that one)
Looking at the design and considering the 2009 lincoln , this design is ripe for possible errors, theres a lot going on.

Yes I noticed it, and mentioned it back in 2008 when the designs were still being selected.
