The LCR Price Guide has the 1992 D CAM valued at $2000 in MS 60. Would the 1992 CAM exceed that ?

All thanks for the comments rockdude not sure whats up with my profile I noticed that "error" awhile back when they sent me birthday greetings months ahead of my birthday and have updated my profile but it doesn't seem to take, so I will stay 13 for now Frank thanks for the advice info and links After visiting the Coneca website decided to join. E-mailed Ken Potter with pictures, waiting for his reply. Will probably send to him for authentication and then to NCS for corrosion removal. Not sure who to have grade, probably ANACS. Kie

Kie Kie, No thanks is necessary! It is my pleasure to help when I can! Wait to see what Ken Potter has to say, then go from there! If the coin goes to NCS for conservation, then it can just go across the hall to NGC for grading, certification and attribution without any extra shipping costs involved. If it is genuine and I believe 100% that it is, then Ken will lead you in the right direction. In case you want to sell the coin, then I would imagine that he will make recommendations but will probably advise that one of the big Coin Shows such as the Florida Fun Show, will be the best place to sell it. I do not know if rock dude was correct on your age or not! However, if you are under age just make sure that your parents are okay with whatever you do with the coin and sign whatever documents that are needed. If the coin is genuine, then you might have your name and picture splattered on Coneca's, Coin World's and Numismatic News' Websites and publications noting your' discovery (with your' permission that is). Anyways, good luck with whatever you decide to do with this coin! Just remember that it may be a long time before you ever make such another find and possibly never. However, just don't get discouraged and stay with the searching, Cherrypicking and collecting. There are a lot of tough, already known Varieties to be found and many, many more to be discovered! Frank

Frank I've been in the military for 28 years for some reason my profile won't update? Look at your profile, it says you are 13 also but with the rest of your bio I can't believe this is true. Ken e-mailed me back and said to send him the coin, have to show it to the guys at work so it will go out monday. Probably keep the coin ( I'm good at amassing not at clearing out) unless I were to find a second one. By the way how do you do that little box trick with my quote in it? I've been trying since I came to the boards and can't figure it out.

Kie ROTFLOL! I wish to heck I was thirteen! I am 56 year old Vietnam Era Vet (no service there) with almost 5 1/2 years in the U.S. Army and now closing in on 31 years with the National Weather Service. I hope to retire soon with a little over 36 years of credited Federal Service since I bought my' Military Service back per say in the form of paying into CSRS to get the credit added to my' Federal Service. It sure is nice to pay into Social Security when you are in the Military, then have to pay the CSRS to get the credit added to your' Federal Service! Oh well, it is for the better when retirement time comes around and then when you hit the Social Security age! I understand all too well the amassing and not clearing out statement! However, the time is probably ripe for selling such a Variety coin. If more are found (and I am sure that some will be), the price of your's and any others will drop. How much and how quickly the price will drop will depend upon how many are reported to have been found and their' grades. I will try to explain how to use the "Quote" box without too much detail! Every Coin forum based website is different and it took me awhile to figure it out! Instead of posting to a Thread using the "Quick Reply" box below the last post, you need to click "Reply to Topic" just above the "Quick Reply" box. This will bring up another Reply block that has all kinds of goodies for your use. In the horizontal icon menu to the right of "Format:" you will find an icon with a Sheet of Paper with a Red arrow on the right side. This is the "Insert Quote" icon, just click on that, then scroll down to the posting that you want to quote, copy and paste the quote inside the "Quote Blocks" and that's pretty much it. If you want to add the quoted Poster's ID, then just type it in at the beginning of the quoted message (i.e. Bullnuke... ). Frank

Kie Kie, It was and is my pleasure! A lot of mechanics taught me a lot in and outside of the Army! After Basic and AIT, I was a Truck driver (Open Line and POL) and an Armorer/Weapons Specialist in the 3rd Armored Division in Kirchgoens, Germany as well Tractor-Trailer driver for the 70th Transportation Company of the 37th Transportation Group in Giessen, Germany (spent 4 years and 3 months in Germany). Then I served as Major General Michael D. Healy's driver, duty driver to 21 other Field Grade Officers plus a Command Sergeant Major as well as having the duties of an Admin Specialist with USARR-V at Fort Sheridan, IL my last 8 months in. If you ever need more help or advice, don't hesitate to email me or make a post here on C.C.! Frank

The font is correct for a ClAM, the position of the FG is elementary. That is definately a ClAM reverse. If this coin is genuine and unaltered, it's the find of the centry. A huge CONGRATS! There's no need for conservation, this coin is just fine as it is. I wouldn't bother with NCS and I would commence with authentication and grading immediately. What an exciting find!

You know that if we were to give these Varieties a term such as "WAMREV" and "CLAMREV" maybe it wouldn't be so confusing to some folks and they would not be mistaken for certain Errors. Frank

Quote: Yep....I wasn't awake yet apparently. LOLOLOL A long night of drinking? If so, then take a snort of WAMREV and WAM, the blood starts flowing through your' Copper veins again. Of course, you could have taken CLAMREV to CLAM you up and keep you from taking a drink in the first place! Frank
