Swamperbob I believe has a couple of counterfeits slabbed by TPGs as genuine (and we're talking top tier in genuine slabs, not basement graders or fake slabs). It's by no means normal or common, but it's certainly not impossible. I say officially because they did not start noting the designation Micro O until 1998. In the twelve years before that there is no way to know how many of them were slabbed without the designation. But if they were slabbed at the same rate before and after that would mean another 163 of them. And there have been other fakes slabbed as well. Still overall the number of fakes that slip through is a VERY tiny number. Report this Post to the Staff
