with mycrob's thread on searching Buffalo nickel culls, I was inspired to grab some at my local dealer, So I was looking through some tonight and I saw it had a mint mark(d) so I flipped it over and it had a date! very faint, but a date, a 1918, now the Red Book says it's worth $20 in g-4 and the description says "legends worn but date readable;buffalo horn not showing" so I would say it's a strong G-4, so last but not least THANK YOU MYCROB

Very nice!

I think I am going to take a break from my Lincoln quest and check out the "bargain bins" at the next coin show. It has been a while since I searched through them.

Yes it is! The bulk of my Indian Head cents came from the bargain bin. Surprisingly, many of them would grade better than one would expect. I have gotten more than a few of my Buffaloes the same way.

More than anything, I want to have fun at the next show. I spent the last couple of shows obsessing over the last few Lincoln cents I need and probably missed out of some things that would interest me.
