K bird welcome to the forum
This post should get a number of replies, you have described the coins but with out pictures it is hard to know the grade. and it is the grading (condition) of a coin along with a few other things that determines the value.
first do not clean any of these coins, second although you have described these coins there are ranges for their value
the 1958 Penny can range in value from 30 cents to 75 dollars
the 1897 half penny sound like it is English
IF YOU HAVE A REAL 1930 PENNY and not a copy- guard it with your life- get to a local coin shop and have it verified and do not fingerprint it any more than necessary.
I have not heard of a 1957 GOLD penny but an standard Penny can run from 30 cents to 1100 dollars depending on condition.
Perhaps this penny was plated?

Lim and the rest of you mob how about some comments on these coins

On the face of it ...not much value here. Ultimately it will depend on grade.

The 1930 penny sounded Britsh to me Richard. Also I always assume average circ grade unless seen.

Last of all...you always seem to press the "Post New Reply" buttom while I am still writing my reply!!!!!

Hi kbird.

The first coin is an Australian Penny. KM#56

Second coin British Half Penny (person holding fork is Brittania) KM#809

Third coin is British Penny. KM#837

Forth coin seems like an Australian Penny, but I haven't seen one in gold. Maybe someone else will come along and enlighten us on that one.

Prices will vary depending upon grade and which mint it was produced at. I don't have a price book at the moment, I borrow it out of the library as I need it. The only one of these that I have in my collection is the 1958 Aussie penny, that is worth 85 US cents for XF grade. (for Perth Mint).

Hope this helps a little.

Whups, didn't see the "gold coin" there for the '57 penny. Sorry, but that one's been gold-plated, probably as a tourist souvenir or as part of a "two-up" set. That'll probably eliminate any value it would have to a collector.
