"Market Grading" by all grading companies, in my opinion, has become quite popular. Take a look a a 59
Lincoln Cent (u.s. mint didn't produce any pennies..

) graded a 65, by one of the top 2 grading companies, back over 10yrs or so ago and take a look at the 1959 graded 65 by the same company or companies today and you will see a difference. Places like QVC pay a lot of money to these companies and again in my opinion only, I think it has lowered the grading standards. It's quite unfortunate that people are buying the slabs instead of buying the coin, if that makes sense.
