Greetings all, I have come across an 1897 Queen Victoria Diamond Jubilee medal, of the Australian variety. I've never been involved in numismatics, so I can't describe the condition properly, but I'd say that it's in poor condition. However, it does appear to be gold rather than silver or copper. It is devoid of the ribbon which I presume it was attached to. Could anyone estimate a range of prices within which the value of this medal might fall? If anyone could also provide any general information about such medals it would be strongly appreciated. Regards, Blanket.
G'day, does this gold coin or medallion have a diameter and/or weight ? Pictures of both sides would be great, but in their absence, some description of each side would assist. Peter in Darwin
