Hi all,
Just got a new Celestron Model #44302 USB microscope and was hoping for any hints from any body who also has one like mine. I posted a photo in the testing forum. All help appreciated.

Bill,
thanks for the complement. I think I have a long way to go before I reach even a so-so photo taker status. I'm a little frustrated with the scope and the software that came with it, I can't get it to do what I would like it to but I have not given up yet.

Hi John1 (or current reader)
I am thinking about getting a Celestron Model #44302 USB microscope and was hoping to get your opinion. Can it show a complete Morgan @ 0X, 10X ? What do you think of the quality of the pictures?
Rest in Peace

John, what's the X power of your pix? I really like the sharpness on the 83.

Wow those are great pix! I am in the market for a USB scope as well, but want to make sure that whatever I get can still get a fair sized coin (Peace Dollar, for example) in the field of view.

coinundrum, I have a dino-lite usb microscope and these are a couple examples of the pics I get. I have made my own ridgid base that helps alot with focusing and chatter.

Sorry for the late responses,numiso- the scope is rated 10x-150x but I don't know what the x is on the '83. norham- I recommend the Barska USB Digital Microscope it was my second choice when I was shopping for one. Just checked E-bay and couldn't find it there any more. I paid $60 for my Celestron inc.shipping, the Barska was $70. The Dino-Lite JP324 is talking about is a great one but it is high dollar, somewhere in the two hundred dollar range but well worth it.

Thanks for the info John1. I got in a hurry (as usual)and bought a no namer (http://www.qvsgadgetworld.com/digit...oscope.html) I also had to make a more rigid mono pod. The software leaves a lot to be desired but it doe's let you snap a picture from the computer. It has 6 leds but you can turn them off which I do because of the glare. A couple of shots and as you can see I need to work with my lighting.
