Just ordered 5 sets, the Mint's website is kind of sluggish (there's a surpise).

I've got mine set up as a subcription, so "hopefully" I don't need to do a thing.

Order went through very smooth at 12:37, I thought that I was the only one there! I guess the new has worn off for some.
It still is backordered until next week 08/19/09 but they do say that their shipping issues are over, so back to 1-2 weeks!

Not sure how they can be backordered in less than 45 minutes...seems like poor planning to me, they should have had 200k ready to ship. But that may be the reason, why lack of shipping ability.

I got my 6 rolls this morning at the ceremony in Springfield, IL. They were not handing out a set of 2 with each Mint mark. Rather, they grabbed from a box of the same each persons rolls. However, I can't complain because they were at face value. There was a nice folded color program handed out. All the rolls appear to be Philadelphia as the paper wrapper is from N.F String & Son, Inc. Harrisburg, PA., U.S.A. and just says "50 with cent sign Pennies". Nothing distinguishes them from any other roll of pennies you could get anywhere.

I will still have to order a set from the mint at the inflated price.

Nelrak, If I remember correctly the 1st new Lincoln Cent was also listed as "back ordered" and arrived in a few days to a week.

Welcome to the family StamperDude, Were there more than 2000 people and why did you only receive 6-rolls, your choice or?, hope you had a great time and if so, please post some pictures....

I am a stamp collector primarily on the SCF and dabble in coin/currency. I was unable to attend the actual ceremony(work), so I sent my wife & father in law in my place. From my understanding there were around 2,500 people.
