Please take a look at his coin... I believe it is an error. Possibly a struk thru wire error since the mark in question is in the shape of a "U"... unfortunately the compression to get under 100k greatly reduced the clarity and detail but I though I'd post it anyways...

I circled some of the ineresting spots in red... notice the similarities between the starlike like patterns I circled? One (the lower one) is an actual cast mark... the other (top) is a die cast?

Without better photos it's just not possible to tell if this is damage or otherwise.

I could email you better photos... the photos I have are actually scans. The scanner seems to nullify the mirror of the coin. If you could direct me, as to the type of photos necessary, to make it so that you could best assess this coin... I would appreciate it and gladly e-mail you them for viewing (at your leisure of course).
