SilverTurtle Valued Member United States 371 Posts	Posted 08/16/2009 10:09 pm This coin is one of my Grandpa's coins that he had me look at. Something that I am curious about is that it dosen't look like a CC at first, but when I reflect the coin off of any light, It looks like what might be a CC below the wreath. I'll show you some pictures. I really need help determining if this is a CC or just a Philly coin. This is all I can do for today. Tomorrow, I'll get much better pictures tomorrow. vermontensium Moderator United States 16679 Posts	Posted 08/16/2009 10:54 pm Your coin is not a CC. In this level of preservation, the mintmark would be clearly visible. It's an 1889 and looks to be approx. AU55. Nice coin! I'll get better pictures today of the coin. Even if it isn't a CC. I'll search for VAMs too. Report this Post to the Staff
