this is a pretty cool piece I've found 6 or 8 months ago. But, I never really looked close enough too it until today. of what little "text" there actually is has very unusual ' I don't know what you call it' variety too it.All text has "odd" repleication, or doub'ing. Or , is this typical of this type of error?
check out the top of the 'T' on the rev in the word "CENT" Looks oddly doubled! And at the seperation , the slope is very un-subtle and very wide. the rim is very sharp and un abused. All coin's text is in these photos, and is in AU/BU condition. most definetly NOT a filled die.(obv or rev)
1'st photo is the top-front of Lincoln's hair. Notice the raised /dou-bd hair line, with with consistant planchet roller marks on either side! And I havent even looked at the 'memorial' yet!Next is all of "E>P>U" Next photo is ALL text at top of obverse. Next is all of "LIBERTY".
And ,finnaly, all that exsists of "ONE CENT" WITH THE ABOVE MENTIONED "cool 'T'"! !
Well, could I be more descriptive or what! But, I'm probably wrong @ all. . .

you should take it to a professional grading service.

The fact that the design rim is well-formed indicates this is not a low-pressure strike. It was struck through a lubricant ("grease strike"). The lubricant in this case is smooth and viscous and preserves the original streakiness of the unstruck planchet.
Error coin writer and researcher.

I also agree, this was struck through a heavy layer of grease.

Thanks,
Bill

Hi Joe
What Mike and Bill didn't state is that this coin is not worth sending to a professional grading service as it is only worth a very small fraction of what it would cot to get it graded.

That looks pretty common. How about a picture not so close. Thanks
