Hello,
I'm fairly new to coins and was going through some newer coins when I found what appears to be an error around the rim of the coin. Does anyone know what kind of an error this is or if it's considered an error at all? Please see the pictures I uploaded at the URL below for more information. Any help is appreciated.

Looks like a 'finned rim', extra metal on the rim.

Looks like the top of the rim was above the collar and you can see where the edge of the reeding on the rim is. Interesting, but not a error or variety.
