Hi Guys,I hope I am posting in the right place!I sure hope I don't have to lay on the floor and scoot out unnoticed
Monday I got a box of roll's and I found a 1928 D Wheatie
and also a 1996 D Wide AM? Anybody know if that's a good find?
The 96 D Wide is pretty dirty and not the best shape ever I suppose but I did hear they were somewhat scarce...Am I right?
I never clean the coins I find so I really dunno if it could look better,I lost my cam in the ocean and my scanner's broke so maybe I can hit the big time one of these days and buy one.....

to the forum PennyLoafer63. The best way for us to I.D. the coin is you to post a picture. A close up of the designers initials and the 'AM' in AMERICA on the reverse. Thanks
Rest in Peace

Welcome to the forum.

A picture is necessary. I've never heard of a 1996-D Wide AM, and there may be one 1996-P Wide AM that was found and later stolen.

Well, you either have a currently one-of-a-kind coin as no 1996 Wide AMs from either mint are known, or you have a case of agressive die polishing that increases the gap ever so slightly between the A and M. Either way, no one can determine anything without pictures.
