The 2009 Native American
Sacagawea dollars are produced in
a business strike version for circulation.
The catch is, you have to get them from the
Mint.
The Federal Reserve made no provision for banks to be able
to order these
business strike coins!

I've spent a few hundred of them, the majority at the car wash,
but I've had some interesting reactions when spending them in
face-to-face transactions ("Where's the date on this?",
"Are you
sure you want to spend those? Those are Uncirculated!",
"Do you have any more of those that we can buy from you?").
If you got a Dollar coin in change
without asking for it,
go buy a lottery ticket right now!

(I buy them out of cash drawers whenever possible, then again I'm
looking for them, and sometimes asking the cashier if they have
any!)
