Does anyone know where I can buy an album for Canadian Large Cents? All I can find is the folder that whitman makes.

Thanks

I found these albums by Gardmaster. Does Gardmaster make nice albums? I've never heard of them before.

I dont really like that brand. The things slid in and out plus you have an extra layer of plastic to look through.
Get the whitman folder I think.

Don't know about these and not sure I've ever seen one. As for my personal opinion, for $10.78 plus shipping I would order it and give it a try before I would ever consider a Whitman folder. In fact Whitman folders are never a consideration for me. Buy a note book and the 2x2 sheet holders and make your own.

I like the Library of coins album for large and small cents. They are older and come on ebay from time to time.

I use Guard master for most sets there ok. I have tried a couple of the UNI Trade very similar design. I like them better because it's easier to add or change the title strips as they slide in under the coins rather than a back page. Price is good on both. The 2x2 idea is ok but you are still looking through 2 pcs of plastic.

Uni-Safe, found here:

They look like Whitman folders, but are way better. The coin goes into a square pocket with a curved slit at the top of it. Plastic used is archival quality and safe for the coin.

A great deal at $3.25!

I'm not a big fan of either the Gardmaster or the Uni-safe. Brent Krueger also sells the pages that Gardmaster uses BTW. My complaint which I think has been voiced is that there are 2 layers of vinyl that the coin is encased in. So you don't get a good lock at it, but if you want to be nitpicky none of the albums are completely clear and allow you to see the coins as clearly as if it were not in a vinyl or acetate windowed albums. That being said its all about the protection that the album offers so having them in something is an advantage.

If you want a generic album I think both Whitman classic and Dansco offer blank page albums you can get. The large cent is 25.4 mm in diameter according to the info on this site.

Library of Coins which is long out of print also had a Large Cent album as well. They pop up on ebay occasionally, but are always used.
