I know this is a 1879-S Reverse of 1878 and I know its been cleaned (or atleast it looks like it has) but was wondering what everyone would grade this thing if it were theirs?

EF40? I'm probably one of the few coin collector's in the U.S. who hasn't shown any real interest in Morgans, so I have an ignorant question. What's meant by "reverse of 78?" I'm guessing it means that the 1879 coin was struck on a planchet that had already been struck with 1878 dies? If so, how can you tell?

the feathers on the arrow is how you tell, and when they say reverse of 1878 it means it has the 1879 obverse with the date, and the reverse dies of the 1878 was used. The 1879 feathers on the arrow shaft has one fether that sticks way up(a long feather) and the 1878 has 2 feathers in its place here are some pictures of each to show you the difference (by the way 1879-1921 has the same top feather, only 1878 has the 2 feather arrow feather)
