Trade sounds good. I will start saving ya my Ds. And when I get a $5 priority mail box filled I will ship them to ya. What years do ya need?Start with 2008-D-1990-D?

I'll have to update my inventory, but there's a few D mint I need. I have a good number of spare BU's saved up for trade.

How to create a gem BU roll: Once you have a full roll, pour it out and put all the coins obverse up. Make sure you have strong lighting. You'll be able to see the ultra luster Lincolns easily, pick those out and put them in the empty tube. Next separate the remaining coins into two groups, one lower MS grade and one that has the poorest coins of the tube, i.e. spots, poor luster, hits or slightly toned. Put the low MS coins in the tube next and then put the worst of the bunch at the top. Now, when you're searchinng and you find a REALLY nice coin for that year/mint, pop open the tube and just poor out the top coins and replace one of the lower grade coins with your new find. After awhile, you will have replaced all those lower grade MS coins with gems. Once you're satisfied with the roll, seal it with tape and label it GEM so you know that roll is done.

This is where my copper horde went, doing something very similar. I had no problem finding all my 2000's in BU condition but after that they start going down. I want to have something like this eventually and am working on it very slowly. My 1990's are low MS, 1980's are AU and after that they are AU browns and better. I have not been working on mine that hard and know the time I have put into it, so I can not imagine how much time you have (especially since most of us know how picky you are with your coins, lol).
The fun part is when you actually find an entire BU roll, that is a great day no matter the date. My other suggestion would be for people to check their local coin stores for the larger display areas with wheat cents because you can usually find a nice AU-BU every time. In fact, this week I went to a my favorite dealer and did not have time to look through all the dates so I just looked for the coins with a nice luster to them. By the time I was done I went through 10,000+ cents and found almost 60 coins from 1939-1958 that will be nice additions to my set.

i dont put them in rolls or sort by years but when I search pennies and come across a real nice 70.s or 80.s I take them out and put them in a jar. dont really know how many I have.when I have spare time I sort them out by years and roll them up.i have many rolls of shinny older pennies once I think about it. later greg
