There are a lot of them out there and I personally think that it would look very nice. I put together a set for someone a few weeks ago. Just a silver quarter type set in a dansco album. Very nice. That many of them close together on a page made it almost like a mirror.

will it hurt their value not in original packaging i like the idea of a case with air tight holders because the mint case is not air tight if I took them out I would keep coa and everything that came with them

I do not think it will hurt the value. The only downside I see is that it will eliminate a very small number of potential buyers that would insist on OGP. I think the majority of buyers will look at condition. In my opinion, the AirTites offer a better guarantee for them to stay in the best condition. In the end, they are your coins, so display them however you want them and try not to be too concerned about future value.

i am passing my coins to my children
the only future value I hope they will keep collecting and pass it father along but if they do sell they will be like why did dad do this what was he thinking? but I will save the lens which they came from packaging and coa couldn't they put it back if they choose or is the mint case non reseal-able?
most of my collection of other coins is in airtight I personally like them very much

I think somewhere around the mid to late 1990's the mint stopped making any effort to seal the sets. I seems that the last few years have been real easy to open and one could easily reassemble them if they ever wanted to.
It sounds like you really want to move them to AirTites, but want to make sure you can undo that move if necessary. I see no reason why you cannot do it. I hope someone else can confirm or refute what I am saying!

thank you all input greatly appericated
who knows if my children sell the coins maybe those nice red oak boxes and air tight cases will look nicer than a set in ogp maybe bring a higher price but they enjoy coin collecting it will probably stay in the family

don't buy just any display to put them in. some woods will destroy the value. I am not sure what woods are that acidic but if you get the wrong one you will know in time. just be careful where you put them

I would hope that the AirTite would protect them from any environment. As a Dansco user, I do not have a lot of experience with the AirTites. Does anyone else have an opinion on this?
