Can anyone help me determine the dates of the 20 cent coin from the Kwangtung province. It is somewhere between 1912 and 1920. Any help would be appreciated.

Texas Trader-That is a year 12, which is 1923. Nice looking coin!

Thanks a bunch. Krause does not list a year 12, only 1-4, 7-9 and 13. Any suggestions?

Texas Trader-hmm odd. Which edition do you have? My old 2005 edition has it as YM#423, and it lists dates 1-13.

Texas Trader- Well, my new copy of the 2009 Krause just came in the mail today. So this is very good timing! haha
And, just as I suspected, they made a mistake in the 2009 edition (there are new mistakes made each year), and they cut off the list of coins under Y#423 so that it ends with Yr. 9 rather than 13. (Though I just noticed that there are no Yr. 5&6 in either book). So according to my 2005 Krause, your coin, year 24(1923), had a mintage of 4,400,000 (the lowest mintage of this short series) and is $7 in EF and $20 in Unc.
